- which game it is about,
- your device model and Android version,
- what happened, and what you expected to happen instead.
Purchase question? Add the Google Play order number. It starts with GPA and hides in the receipt email from Google.
Questions people actually ask
I lost my progress. Can you restore it?
We are truly sorry, but no. Idle Ages keeps your progress only on your device. That is great for your privacy and terrible right now: there is no account and no server, so we never had a copy to give back.
Uninstalling the game or clearing its app data deletes the save. Switching phones? Your village does not pack its bags and follow you.
How do I restore a purchase?
Purchases go through Google Play and belong to the Google account you bought them with.
Install the game from Google Play with that same account and open it while you are online. Google Play hands back your one-time purchases, such as the Royal Charter or the Winter scenery.
Still missing something? Find the order in the Google Play app under Payments and subscriptions, then email us the order number.
How do I ask for a refund?
Refunds for Google Play purchases are handled by Google, from your order history in Google Play. Lost in the menus? Email us and we will point you the right way.
How can I send feedback or report a bug?
Please do, we like hearing from you (even about bugs, eventually). Email support@hollowsoulstudios.com, or use the feedback option in the game, which opens your own mail app. We only receive what you choose to send, and we use it only to reply to you.
How do I install the APK?
Until Idle Ages is on Google Play, you can download it as an APK from the Idle Ages page. Open the file on your Android device and allow your browser to install apps when Android asks. Only download it from our website.
Purchases do not work in the APK version; they only work once the game is installed from Google Play. Everything they give can still be earned in the game with Amber.
For a new version, install it over the existing game. Do not uninstall first, because that deletes your progress.
Do I need an account?
No. No account, no sign-in, no password to forget. You open the game and play.
Are there ads in Idle Ages?
Not one. We checked twice. You will not find energy timers or loot boxes either, and the few purchases are optional, one-time and can also be earned by playing.
