About the studio
Hollow Soul Studios is a one-person independent studio from the Netherlands, founded in 2026. It makes mobile games that respect players' time and money, and small tools that do one job well.
Its first game, Idle Ages, is an idle village builder for Android in which players take one village from the Stone Age through ten ages to the stars. It has no ads, no energy timers and no loot boxes, its few purchases are optional and one-time, and it collects no personal data. Its second game, SoulCatcher, is a dark turn-based RPG in development, in which capturing a monster means bargaining with a grief.

Short description
Guide one village from the Stone Age through ten ages to the stars in a calm, fair idle village builder for Android.
Long description
Idle Ages is an idle village-building game for Android. Players guide a single village from the Stone Age through ten ages, from Bronze and Classical to Industrial, Digital, Cyber and finally Stellar, and then onward to colonies.
Every villager has random traits that make them better or worse at certain jobs, and tiers to grow into. Villagers work as woodcutters, miners, smiths, farmers, herbalists, fishers, cooks, alchemists and fighters, and a village chronicle tells the story of the village while you play.
Idle Ages is fair by design: there are no ads at all, no energy timers and no gacha or loot boxes. Purchases are optional and one-time: the Royal Charter and three cosmetic extras. Everything they give can also be earned in the game with Amber. The game has no account and no server, and collects no personal data.

Short description
A dark, turn-based RPG in which you do not catch monsters: you bargain with griefs that have teeth, one circle further down at a time.
Long description
SoulCatcher follows an orphan with nothing left to lose, through a decaying gothic world laid out after Dante's nine circles. Each circle is built around its own vice, and every choice it offers is a lesser evil.
Souls are griefs given shape. Capturing one is a bargain rather than a beating, and the game keeps asking the player what gives them the right to control these Souls, and what they are becoming by doing so. Battles are turn-based and readable, with timed strikes and braces, interrupts and ripostes, and Souls can go through a Becoming that gives them a new name and a new move.
The game is in development. Details on this page describe the current prototype and may change.
